THE IDEA

How it plays

  1. Find your opening

Your first reveal opens a safe patch. Each number tells you how many mines touch that square.

  2. Read the clues

Compare neighboring numbers and place flags where you think a mine is hiding.

  3. Clear the field

Reveal every safe square to win. Classic boards can require a guess; a safe opening does not make the whole board guess-free.

WHAT WE ARE PLANNING

The first release

Three familiar difficulties

Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert boards, with flags, a timer, and a clear restart.

Learn by doing

Short interactive lessons and untimed practice explain the clues without rushing you.

Your own progress

Keep local best times and statistics, with practice results separate from unassisted play.

Comfortable controls

Reveal and flag with a mouse, keyboard, or clear touch controls. Readable numbers and reduced effects keep the board in focus.

Further down the road

Daily challenges and boards validated as solvable without guessing are ideas for later updates. They are outside the first release.

The ideas here describe our current direction, not a finished game. We will share changes and progress in News.

A CLOSER LOOK

One field. Plenty to discover.

Beginner: 9 × 9, 10 mines. Intermediate: 16 × 16, 40 mines. Expert: 30 × 16, 99 mines.

A safe opening, clear flags, a mine counter, and a timer you can ignore in practice. The first release focuses on the classic game feeling right.

Hints explain the clue behind a move. Assisted practice stays separate from your best classic times.
